What is Azure for Teaching?

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a Microsoft licensing program designed to support student teaching. It enables all members of the University of Bremen to obtain developer and designer tools from Microsoft for study and teaching free of charge.

The procedure

• Open the link above.
• Click on "Sign in".
  In order to get access to the web portal, a Microsoft account with your @uni-bremen.de address is required.
  
• Then you see this:
  
  



























• Click on "Software" and if you need Windows, please search for "windows" in the search field.
  Watch the language when you download it.
  
• Select the Software you need.
• Click on "Show Product Key" if you only need the key and copy it.

Virtual Machines in Azure For Teaching

• Click on the menu at the top left and go to "All services".
• Search for "Virtual"
• Move the mouse to "Virtual machines" (do not click). A window opens. Move the mouse to the window and scroll down.
• Under "Free Offerings" click on e.g. "Windows Virtual Machine" and in the next window on "create".
